We have a tendency to pin our exhaustion onto our chests like a badge of honour, hovering just above complete burnout as our nervous system spins out of control begging for a reset. This is your chance. A time to settle into a deep understanding that rest is your birthright, it is not something that needs to be earned or ashamed of. It is this knowing that allows us to soften back into our innate ability to heal and to connect to our intuition, our inherent creativity and our endless imagination. Yoga Nidra is the pathway home. A practice of returning. Of allowing ourselves to fall back into the open arms of deep rest. This workshop is an introduction into some of these rest practices. We will spend time in conversation around the history, tradition and techniques of these practices and then drift towards them, wandering down the pathway of untangling until we land softly into our Nidra nest. You will walk away feeling rested and more deeply connected to that clear voice inside of you that calls out for you to slow down, be quiet and listen.

When we have the spaciousness and quietude to familiarize ourselves with the mind's natural state, we get clear and spacious. Our inherent "Bliss Body" is ever-present. Underneath the continuous confluence of change, there is a stable center point of safety we can celebrate. Using ancient teachings and an intermingling of Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Slow Flow, we’ll fine tune our methods for mindful cultivation & inherent ease. Long held floor poses encourage and enhance the Qi or energy distribution through the bones and connective tissues that bind them. These mainly static postures coax Qi into the respective Meridians (the unseen riverbeds of energy the Qi travels through), thereby encouraging a kind of needle-less acupuncture treatment. This style of practice nourishes the natural range of motion of the joints, increases the resilience and elasticity of our fascia, and slows the impact of aging. Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice that guides you into a state of conscious relaxation, allowing us to come home again & again to our own inner landmark of self trust. The greatest journey doesn't take us anywhere, it just brings us more here . Join Kali for a longevity practice to return to the radiant, ephemeral BLISS BODY.
